Software giant Steelsery has announced a partnership with Linux community Red Hat to bring its Windows app on Android to its platform.
In a blog post, Steelsier said it has begun work on a Linux app for the Android platform.
The app, called Android for Linux, will be available in the next couple of months and will allow users to install and run the software on their Android device.
The Linux app will run on Linux and MacOS.
The partnership was announced on Tuesday, with Steelserie announcing it had acquired Red Hat Enterprise Linux and the Red Hat-owned Nginx cloud infrastructure.
Steelseries will provide the Linux app to developers who wish to integrate it into their application.
The Red Hat software has been available for Windows and Mac since the company first launched it in 2014.
The company previously said it planned to provide its Linux app as an add-on for the Redhat platform in the near future.
Steelerseries will release the Linux application in a free, open-source, open source, GPL-licensed app for Linux in late 2019, according to the blog post.
It is based on the Apache HTTP Server (a server-side component of the Apache project) and Apache Commons Web Application.
“We’re excited to be partnering with Red Hat on Android for the first time and welcome the Linux community to join our Linux platform with our Android for Android app,” said Greg Gorman, CEO and co-founder of Steelsering.
“We’ve been working closely with Red and Apache for a number of years, and we’re pleased to have found a developer partner with whom we can bring this technology to market.”
The Red Hat cloud infrastructure has been around since the early days of Apache and has been one of the key pieces of infrastructure used by Red Hat.
Apache and Red Hat are now two of the largest cloud hosting providers.
The Apache project offers a variety of applications including the popular Apache web server and the Linux operating system, as well as many more applications, including Apache’s open source Web server.
The Red House-based company is working with a wide range of partners including Google, Google Cloud, Amazon, Cisco Systems, eBay, Intel, Microsoft, Nokia, OpenStack, Red Hat, Cisco, Symantec, and other companies.
The Linux app is expected to work with several third-party applications that have already been released to the Google Play store, including the OpenStack platform, the Docker Linux container software, and the Open Source Networking platform, which enables Linux-based servers to be run on top of other services.
The Android app will be free for both Android and Windows devices, and can be used on Android devices running Google’s Android software or Windows 10 Mobile operating system.
