Google’s India unit has launched a new app that lets users change the time of the GST returns in their Google account.
The app will allow users to change their GST returns by typing their GST return number into a box on the top right of their account page, and then typing the number in to the new box, as shown below.
The app is now available in India, and will be available for free for all users of the Google India app until December 31, the company said in a statement.
Google India has also launched a Google Payments integration in its Google Play store, allowing people to pay for goods and services using the Google Wallet app.
Google Payments, which was launched in the US, Europe and Japan in 2018, allows users to pay with a credit or debit card or to pay a fee for services like a parking ticket.
Google said in its statement that users can now pay for services by signing into their Google Account and clicking on the ‘Pay Now’ button, as seen in the image below.
Users will be able to choose the GST/HST rate for their payment by clicking on a GST/NHST rate, and enter the amount that they want to pay, as per their payment method.
Google said that a single payment of over $5,000 can be processed in less than 10 minutes.
The announcement comes after several large multinational companies in India have warned the government about the tax implications of shifting GST back to states, citing concerns about tax evasion.
Google announced the move last week.
